The Old Highercombe Hotel Museum has been renamed and is now known as the Tea Tree Gully Heritage Museum
The National Trust of SA Tea Tree Gully Branch have restored the building and converted it to a folk museum. Situated in historic Tea Tree Gully, nestled against the Adelaide Hills and overlooking Haines Memorial Park, this impressive two storey stone building and outdoor displays are set amongst beautifully manicured gardens and lawns. Visitors can transport themselves back in time - explore and imagine life in our pioneering days.
The Museum contains a collection of some 1800 historic items, most with recorded provenance to the local area. These are rotated through the permanent displays, and special exhibits are regularly presented. These have recently included No Mirth in Home Birth, Pubs of our Past and Going Potty.
