As part of the 20th anniversary celebration of their album 'Straight Ahead', American punk rockers Pennywise are touring Australia next year February. The Hermosa Beach legends will be performing the album in its entirety, kicking off at Melbourne's The Forum, then to Chelsea Heights Hotel, Brisbane's Eatons Hill Hotel and the Gold Coast's Coolangatta Hotel. They will also be stopping by Sydney's Enmore Theatre, Newcastle Entertainment Centre and HQ Adelaide before wrapping at Metropolis Fremantle.
To intensify the experience, Californian band Strung Out and Sweden's No Fun At All will be joining in as special guests. The two have been Pennywise's long-time touring partners and therefore know the nuts and bolts of putting on a great show with the band.
Formed in the South Bay of Los Angeles, a neighbourhood with a rich punk rock history, Pennywise broke into the scene in 1988. They went on to amass an international following through relentless touring and their ever-brilliant musicality that combines melodic surf punk, blistering hardcore and the classic punk of their youth. The group has solidified their place in punk history with songs like the raging 'Fuck Authority', 'Alien', and the band's legendary ode to brotherhood and departed friends 'Bro Hymn'.
