With a career spanning over six decades, Brian Cadd stands as a trailblazer in the realm of Australian music. His new offering with 'Dream Train', out now, is the country album he was always destined to make and represents a return to his roots, a homage to the genre he has always cherished. Reflecting on his musical journey, Cadd expresses a sense of fulfilment and excitement as he unveils his latest masterpiece.

"I should have done this 30 years ago," Cadd admits, acknowledging the long-awaited nature of his venture into the country genre. Having teased the album’s release already with singles ‘You Know What To Say,’ and ‘The One That Got Away,’ 'Dream Train' draws inspiration from his rich experiences as a country-rock pioneer in Australia and his time in Nashville.

“This album has been an exceptional journey,” Brian says. “It has taken me so long to actually make a country album, I was unsure how it would feel for me. I have been writing country and country-rock songs for many years, yet I remained locked into my ‘Brian Cadd – rock artist’ persona on stage and particularly in the studio. With Dream Train I found a new freedom which allowed me to think ‘outside the musical artist box’ that I’d existed within for so long.”

Produced by Brian Cadd and Lindsay Waddington, Dream Train features an array of instrumentalists including The Man of [pedal] Steel, Michael Rose; Doug Gallacher on Drums and Percussion; Gus Fenwick on Bass; guitarist Brendan Radford who has performed and/or recorded with other luminary Australian and International artists including Gina Jeffreys, Troy Cassar-Daly, Adam Harvey, and Sara Storer; Lawrie Minson on Dobro/Harp/Banjo; Peter Robinson on Electric guitar; Jamie Rigg on the Hammond Organ; Australian Country Music "Hands of Fame" inductee Lindsay Waddington on 12 String Electric/Baritone guitar/Dobro/Lap Steel/Mandolin/Electric Guitar/Acoustic Guitar; the mutil-talented Violinist Clare O’Meara; and Slide guitarist, Kirk Lorange, famed for having played on some of Australia's most iconic albums from artists including Keith Urban, Renee Geyer, Richard Clapton, John Williamson to name a few. The album also features the vocal talents of powerhouse vocalist, and celebrated and respected songwriter, Jen Mize who is also recognised as one of the foremost authorities on Americana/Alt-Country music in Australia. And a guest appearance from the multi ARIA-nominated and OAM recipients, Vika & Linda.

To celebrate the release of 'Dream Train,' Brian Cadd and his band of 'naughty musicians' have announced a handful of tour dates in support of the album with more to be announced. The first bunch of shows will see Brian tour to Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia. Fans can expect a night filled with new tracks from 'Dream Train' as well as beloved classics.
